Nowadays one cannot imagine a business without an internet profile. When we talk about internet profiles, web applications are a must. Web applications provide an efficient way to interact with customers.

One advantage of a web application is that it performs all the necessary tasks using a web browser. From marketing goods to providing the best customer experience, web applications are the most essential tool in today’s business world.

Organizations create web applications with the help of web developers to enhance their businesses. Hiring a web developer is not a cheap task, so small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs find themselves in a difficult situation when it comes to developing these.

You don’t need to worry!

There are solutions out there that let you build web applications without any prior programming knowledge. The best part is that these solutions are available online, accessible to everyone. This is perfect for entrepreneurs and small start-ups. The best platform that lets you build web apps is Bubble.

Bubble gives you full creative control and provides you with professional-level features without making you write even a single line of code.

How to use Bubble?

Bubble is an online platform, accessible to everyone. It lets you develop web applications on your browser. Yes, it is that simple!

Following is the step-by-step procedure on how to use Bubble.

Step 1: Register your account.

Navigate to and create your free bubble account. You can do this by clicking on the blue button which says, “Get started for free”. You will then need to fill up all your necessary information and then you can proceed with creating your account.

There are some things that you should know before proceeding to the next step, that developing web applications is divided into 3 parts.

  • Building database
  • Designing elements
  • Setting up workflow

The database includes all the data that will be manipulated at the back end. The user can interact with the database using elements that you design. And all these elements and the database are connected by defining workflow.

Step 2: Build your database.

This is the most essential step in developing your Bubble app. You need to apply logic to set up your database and data types. This allows you to collect specific information from the users, set up the workflow, etc.

You can set up your database by navigating to the “Data” tab from the initial interface of the editor.

From here, you can select your main data field and further add new fields to it.

For example, you may select the main data field of a product for a marketplace application. You can further add various data types under each field. The user can also create a new field by clicking on the button which says, “Create a new field”.

Step 3: Creating pages and customizing your style.

The next step is to start building your app’s pages and setting up the style. You need to navigate to the “Design” tab in the editor.

A web application may include different pages, for example, a homepage, a dashboard, marketplace, log-in page, etc. You may add pages according to your need or it can be a one-page application as well.

Then you can set up your styles from the “Style” tab. This includes defining styles for various elements such as buttons, check box and many more.

Step 4: Design your elements.

Now that all your pages and styles are set, you can proceed to designing and placing your elements. For this, you again need to navigate to the “Design” tab in your editor.

Here you will find various elements. You can manipulate these elements by dragging and dropping them in the workspace. You can add text boxes, buttons, links, and much more. Everything is accessible from the tree on the left side of the editor.

Step 5: Setting up the workflow.

You now must connect your database with your design. This is the step where your application takes a working form. You need to navigate to the “Workflow” tab. You will find this tab on the left side of your editor.

This feature will allow you to define the function of every element you designed, for example:

  • Making a button clickable
  • Defining what a button does
  • Setting up user log-in or sign-up, etc.

You can also set up new data entries from the elements.

Setting up workflow is a tedious task to do but once you are done, your web application is almost complete.

Step 6: Testing and debugging.

Bubble has got a debug mode and an issue checker. This allows you to run your application in the test mode and see if it is working properly. Bubble also has pop-up messages which notify you about issues to fix.

Step 7: Launch your application.

Once you have removed all the bugs from your application, it is now ready to be launched. To launch your application, you will need to subscribe to one of the paid plans of Bubble. Paid plans also enable you to have a custom domain.
